Dizzie Lizzie’s Organic Korean Chili Powder has a bright flavor, with a hint of sweet and a mild to moderate spicy taste. This flavor profile allows you to use generous amounts without making dishes too spacey. Where it lacks in heat, it sure compensates with amazing flavor. The spice is traditionally used in Korea to make bright red kimchi. Imparts a bright, citrusy flavor to recipes. 

We see our customers using this traditionally for gochujang (Korean chili paste), kimchi, spicy Korean soups and stews (e.g. sundubu jjigae) and spicy Korean side dishes (e.g. Korean cucumber salad). It works well in any recipe that calls for some heat, and especially well in sauces and marinades, and great flavor to beef.

Created for garlic lovers who need a kick of heat, our Magic Dust combines our long-loved garlic powder with a mixed hot pepper blend to create a seasoning that’s perfect on any type of food, in recipes, or as a final shake to give any dish a needed kick! Take a bland meal up a notch with our Magic Dust. 

It took us two seasons to perfect the ratios to perfect this savory “sprinkle on everything” blend. Our Magic Dust came to be from Lizzie’s LOVE of growing hot peppers (and their many varieties!). We found that fresh hot peppers are not a big ticket item at our fresh vegetable market. Since we don’t believe in waste, we took to the kitchen to masterfully perfect a 50/50 garlic and mixed hot pepper blend that would add life to any recipe. 

Our Customer’s Favorite Uses: On vegetables, chicken, fish, tofu, to kick up any recipe, on baked potatoes, on popcorn, and so much more!

If Magic Dust is too spicy, we have a great, mild alternative: our “Magic Dust cubed.” It’s the perfect trifecta (one-third each) of garlic powder, onion powder and that same one of kind mixed hot pepper powder as magic dust. It’s a little lighter than the original but has the same great ingredients with the addition of onion powder. It’s milder in heat than Magic Dust but has the addition of onion powder to create a one-of-a kind taste to liven any dish. It joins our Magic Series family of ‘sprinkle it on everything’ handcrafted spices.
